Advertising for 2009

Hey guys, just have a mate here whos thinking about going to commodore day with us, Hes gonna get down there around 11 - 12 ish and wants to know if we would all love cd's for our cars,
His names Scotty and he runs TopGear Photography - Featured on this and last years Gazzanats dvd, and has ...

I have noticed a lot of people with Commodores coming on the Forum that only just found out about the show. We must be missing something in the Advertising of it all.

We will have to get the heads together and work out where we are missing out on the Advertising for next year.

I have noticed a lot of people with Commodores coming on the Forum that only just found out about the show. We must be missing something in the Advertising of it all.

The advertising on the net is not reaching enough people. And putting up posters in shops and so on.

Any ideas would be great.

call up somthin like mix FM and get them to plug the show and even give like 10 free passes to them to give away. im sure they would be more then happy to do it

I have found out through many phone calls and e-mails with late entrants that its the nature of the beast, many want to wait and see if the event floats, some wish to see who else is entering and many new about it months ago and have just been reminded, then theres the my modifed car may get defected???? Then theres the petrol cost to much, cant afford the entry fee ect ect.

Maybe in years to come when the event cements itself as an event for every Commodore owner to be seen at, it may be eaiser than having two lines on Sunday eg; prepaid entrants and pay on the day entrants.

My point is it may change in time, so may the amount of advertising we have to do eg SUMMERNATS started from nothing also.

Have just been told that the Birdwood Museum have done TV ads last night including ACD in them Shocked

But I havent seen them and dont know which station ran the ads Question

Watch out for a confirmed Just cars magazine feature of ACD #2 2008 and Street Commodores have confirmed a feature also cheers

I'm pretty sure I saw an ACD sticker on the back of Kev's VE. Pretty big one too. Also spotted one on his dirt circuit car. On ya Kev!

Andy, SC could be awhile away expect March/April 2009, however JC have given me no publication date ( early 2009) also still waiting for the Messenger newspaper feature, I will have to hurry them up Wink

Not to forget the release of the ACD #2 DVD 2008 hopefully available shortly? Cant wait to see what they have done with those pics Twisted Evil
